Game Overview

The Deep Space Directive game loop consists of selecting a directive, choosing a world to colonize, building a base, and defending from invading forces until the directive is fulfilled and the enemy is neutralized. Several raw resources are available, but not all in the same world. These resources can be processed to create new components and resources to meet the demands of the current directive.

A procedural tech tree allows the upgrading of units and the construction of new buildings. Procedural variation in the tech tree requires a unique strategy for each play-through of the game.

A variety of raw resources are available but are unevenly distributed across different worlds. Establishing efficient supply chains between worlds will become a critical aspect of gameplay. Raw materials can be processed, enabling the creation of new essential components to satisfy the requirements of the active directive and expand your base.

A procedural tech tree offers opportunities for unit upgrades and the construction of new buildings. The tech tree's variability offers a fresh and distinctive strategic experience with each playthrough, necessitating adaptability, and creativity in response to evolving challenges.
